So my b/f and I went to his friends house to look at corals for our tank and out of no where the guy goes, "Do you know any body that would like kittens?" and I was like
"me"
I looked at my b/f and he gave me that look like yes babe you can get ANOTHER one, lol. They are kittens that were born in a tree stump and its pretty high i can post pics of it tomorrow. But I want to get one they are about 5 weeks old tho he said. I was wondering should I get a boy or a girl? I have one of each so far...... What do you guys suggest?

Mom may move them and they might not be there when they are old enough to seperate.

Really, the whole family should be taken in and fostered until old enough to be homed (are there any shelters nearby that can do that?)

I agree with Satai, they should be fostered as a family, and the best time to separate them would be at 12 weeks, so you will have a bit of a wait to get ready for the new kitten.
Is your friend fostering them until they are older or are they still in the tree stump, and is their mother caring for them, because if not you will need to make sure they are eating etc

ok, where was the 'both' choice? seriously - you might consider getting a pair, so they'll leave your current cats alone. also - how old are Prince & Princess?

I never thought about a shelter, I know the Dutchess County SPCA will take them but a long time ago i had a cat and I couldnt keep her
and I took her there but there was a charge so my friend ended up taking her thank god. I know one of the guys neighbor is taking one, But I will look around for a shelter that they could go to....

I cant get 2 more kittens yet, my place isnt big enough for 4 cats
otherwise I would take em all!!! Prince is about 5 months and Princess is a lil over a year old.

Also I am thinking about not taking a kitten I live in a one bedroom apartment with 2 cats and a reef tank already, although the living room and kitchen are big I just dont think they will all be comfy here its still up in the air my boyfriend and i are going to go look at them today I will take be taking pics so keep an eye for tree stump kitties in the picture department. I will also post here when I get back after my b/f talk more about it, it only came up last night.

would it be better to get a male kitten? because I herd that getting a male kitten is better then a female kitten unless you have a female cat.
