"Boy" colors?

Right now I'm looking online, trying to decide what Beastie Band to order for Milo. He is a buff/orange tabby boy. What do you all consider "boy" colors? He is so soft and fluffy, I want to get him a color that won't look too girly. I was thinking blue, or red would look good with his coat. Would red be okay? Just curious as to some more opinions on this!

I always go reds with dark coats and blue with light coats.


ETA: I just relooked at Milo, I think a Forest green would compliment his color fantastically.

Blues look great on orange cats.... I put an aqua, royal blue and navy collar on each of my three orange boys.

Ohh, hunter green would be pretty!! I'll have to see if I can find a print I like that is in stock in green....if not I'll probably go with blue. I love hearing about everyone's opinions on things like this, its neat to hear the difference in the way people think!

Well...the site I like to order from doesn't have green in anything that I like for Milo (only in the yin/yang one). So its between a Red FishBones, Dark Blue Indian Blanket, or Aqua Gecko. I really really like the Gecko one, but would rather have it in Dark Blue or Red b/c Marlee's new one is Aqua. Here is the page, what do y'all think?

Lots of those collars would suit Milo IMO (ps Milo is gorgeous! what a bundle of peachy fluff!)

I see what you mean about the gecko in dark blue...but aqua might be nice too?

The indian blanket pattern looks a bit too 'old' for a little playful cool trendy kitty IMO...its one for when he grows up lol

I'd go for red fishbones..unless you see a pic of the aqua gecko and like it.

Harley of course, wears his black & orange Harley-Davidson collar What else would he wear!?
Davidson will be getting one too, but only his is black and gray

Milo is sooo darn adorable!

I don't know what one I would pick - I'd end up getting a whole bunch of different assorted ones!

Well, I made up my mind! I ordered the Red Fish Bones for his first collar! I just finished that, and am already looking forward to ordering his and Marlee's next ones! Next time I hope they have a green for him, and I want to get pink for her!

I LOVE the pink fish bones - I think thats so freakin cute! I don't think Harley would like to wear a pink collar tho....

I think as long as you don't get pink or flowers for a boy you are all set.
Suzie, the only girl has a pink flowered collar.. I think it looks great on her next to her grayish coat.
I wish I had thought more about cookies collar. He has a light tan animal print that just sorta blends in with his orange coat. Oh well, next time.
