My Molly used to all the time. Abby will sleep on her heated pads when it is cold, but that's about it. She laughs at beds.

I have a cat bed which looks like a sofa and two cats out of six sleep on it when they feel like it.

I am glad I did not go and buy more cat beds as they seem to prefer my bed, the cat tree or the floor...or even worse..the laundry pile.

I've discovered that cat beds are a lot of the time a waste of money. When getting Anastasia, we also got a bunch of kitten/cat stuff for her including two beds. She's never used them and I don't know who to give them to, as our friends' cats won't sleep in them either.

mine do, but usually only in the winter. otherwise, they sleep everywhere - cat tree, top of the monitor, my lap, my bed, the floor, etc.

My cats have a tent with their grandmeowmy made for them, they use it sometimes.
The most used cat beds here are cheapo laundry baskets with a cheapo polyfill standard pillow in them and a piece of faux fleece over the pillow.
Totally cheap, totally washable.

I have three scattered about the house.
My 12y/o prefers just a pillow to sleep on, the cushier the better.

There's no place like home
Mine prefer tent-style beds over short walled beds, but yes, they do use their beds here. I do put them in their favorite spots like under a window!

Boots sleeps in his bed, no matter where it is. If he's on my bed, he's in his bed, on my bed. If he by chance knocks it onto the floor, he's in his bed, on the floor. When I wake up and he does too, I put his bed by the window, and he sleeps in his bed, by the window. I think I made my point

Pay attention, check for her favorite area when sheâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s sleeping. If you notice she is cold, place the bed near where she is and put her in the bed then touch her, so she will know itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s ok, just a little. Then do something close by, but donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t look at her. Do something just for a while, but donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t make a lot of noise. Do that several times, soon she will realize its better to be in bed.

I bought mikey one...he just peed on it. so I washed it and donated it to a cat shelter. The kitten we have favors a woolly blanket and im pretty sure that will be his "bed".

oh, i dont really care if she uses it or not, unless there is some reason it actually IS better for her to sleep there?

I haven't technically gotten Vodka a bed, but she has commandeered a shoebox out in the living room during the day. She is the funniest little thing. Whenever I can't find her, she is either curled up on my side of the bed, or in her little shoebox. At night, she inevitably ends up smack dab between my husband and me, and as I groggily realize it, I worry that my husband will roll over and smash her! Hubby is a deep sleeper, but Vodka is a light sleeper, so she moves if he starts crowding her. But I digress...

I am moving next week, and I am wondering if I shoud try getting her a bed once we get there. I know she will end up sleeping with me at night, but Im wonderinf if through the day, I should get her a nice cushy bed. I mean, I really don't feel like trying to pack an empty shoebox, knowhudimean?

In fits and spurts...somewhat depends on how warm it is. I have a variety of beds
from a simple flat catnip mat I bought to trial (Alix of course tested this and over 4 years, it has remained a favorite), I have two beds from Costco - dog beds with a pillow insert...just perfect for Patrick when he wanted to stretch out, Frankie loves to sleep in his favorite bed with a toy under her paws and her head resting on another.

Alix has a small braided rag bed she trialed that she (whispering) doesn't really fit in lately, but she jams into it anyway, looking like a bowl with a tabby head.

I also have oval plastic beds, these are cool in warm weather...cats lay in them on their backs..all you see is feet, upside down heads with toofie points showing

Yup..cat beds are a necessity in this house!

Well, I would, but the problem is, I'm only moving my clothes and neccesities since I am flying to my destination and I don't really have room in my 2 allowed bags for a shoebox
Vodka is pretty adaptable...Im sure she will take over something else once we get there. I have to say, though, she is adorable curled up in that little box!

Andy sleeps in his bed because he wants to. He also sleeps in one of the sofas and my computer chair. What I describe, itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s that what we did with my motherâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s cat. She wanted him to get used to sleeping in his bed or the floor because of visitors, not all people like cats. One of her friends looks disgusted to sit on the sofa, like if she is going to get dirty. If you donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t really care, thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s great.
