I was just wondering who gets to drive when you go out? When Brent and I go out he usually drives. Unless he has been drinking, of course, then I drive. He says my driving scares the crap out of him. Why do the men think their driving is soooo much better?

Due to our schedules DH and I switch off. Dh is also the WORST backseat driver of all time, because he used to work in claims for an insurance company. Now that he is an insurance agent, it's gotten worse.

We both drive. I drive till I'm tired of hearing him gripe, and then we switch until he's tired of me!
It works for us I guess!

I don't have a car...so I rarely drive. It's safe to say if there is more than one person in the car, you can be 95% sure I'm not behind the wheel.

Once I get married (to whoever he is that I haven't met yet), he's driving. I honestly don't like driving. I'm good at it, and very very attentive, but it makes me nervous. Plus that's one of those things that is the man's job, like taking out the trash. Does that sound bad? I don't believe in the whole "get in the kitchen, woman" but some things to me are man things and some things are woman things...

Or maybe I'll do anything I can to get out of driving!

He does the driving because:

1) I don't like to feel like a learner driver about to fail my driving test every time I drive with him next to me

2) I can't put my hair rollers in whilst driving lol

3) I get to control what music we listen to...haha!

Matt doesn't have his licence yet (he's 22 and still "working on it") so I drive. And when he does get his licence, I'll probably still do the driving, just becuase I'll feel I'm more experienced than him, and therefore, not as comfortable with him behind the wheel.

We pretty much share the driving. I probably drive the car more, because he cycles in to work, and I wasn't working, and now I'm driving into work and he's still cycling in.

I think I have the imaginary brake on the whole time I'm in the car with Brent. He'll stop 10 feet behind someone at a stoplight but is right on the bumper of the car in front of us in traffic. Then he starts looking around and gets distracted and starts to veer. The man drives (no pun) me nuts.

We take turns but Trav's driving doesn't scare me. I scare him to DEATH so we drive my car(my gas is cheaper-his car takes the expensive gas) so we take turns driving my car

Will most always drives because I enjoy looking around too much, so I prefer he drive and I can just relax and enjoy the sights.
He's a very safe driver, which I am also, we are not fast drivers at all. Driving fast scares the crap out of me!

When the both of us goes out, It's gauraunteed I'm the drinking one.
So he drives. Plus, I CANNOT drive on the interstate, or city areas..I freak out.
But he just told me the other day he's sick of being the designated..

So that means we need to find someone, Cuz I'm sure not giving up my baby-sitter night so that I have to drive everywhere!

It could be either of us. We're both decent drivers, neither of us minds doing so, we're both comfortable being the passenger. It really depends on what else is going on. He's usually designated, but sometimes I am. I use the car most, so if I was last driving and will be the next, I usually drive "so you don't have to adjust the seat tomorrow
".

hahahahaha.. tell me about it! my bf is the worst backseat driver. "slow down". "you can take this turn a little faster". "why are you taking oak, it makes more sense to take pine street". i've actually stopped anda pulled over and gotten out and said "fine, YOU drive then!". so yeah..i avoid driving with my bf in the car. he's a really good driver tho, so i dont really mind him being the driver. he's saved our butts more than once, including one time when we were going 65 on the interstate and some IDIOT had stopped his car half in the traffic lane and didn't even put his flashers on...we didn't see the car til the last second, and only the fact that the car had really good handling, and my bf has really good reflexes, kept us from crashing into it. so i feel safe when he drives.

if im going somewhere by myself tho, i love to drive. i didn't get my license til i was 24...i just love the feeling of freedom, crusing with the sunroof open and the music up loud

Usually steve drives. I used to like driving, now i dont. it scares me. to many morons on the road. However, I am usually the DD especially on band nights. cause ya know band guys always gotta drink beer..and i am very strict if hes had even one i wont allow him to drive its not that i think he cant, its just thats my policy on everyone..booze=no drive to me. period.

Its also kinda a manly thing, he always opens my door for me
than goes back around and gets in. Of course if i am heading somewhere on my own he comes down and tucks me in the jeep safe an sound and sees me off.

I do have to say although i Miss my car cause it was more gas effective. The jeep makes me feel safer on the road. to many nicompoos on the road.
