Ah... Another hot sunny day. I'm not complaining though-I love it. People look at me like I have 5 heads when I say it but I hate the cold and I don't have much insulation on me so I get chilled easily. Anyway I sat outside and baked for a bit, I know it's bad for me but I sacrifice my health to look good. A bit shallow I am, I guess.:indiffere

I am supposed to be at work right now but I left early because I made an appointment with opthalmologist. Turns out I had a piece of wood stuck underneath my lid. Ouch!

I'm kind of in a rotton mood right now. Don't know why since I am officially on vacation. Whatever though it will pass....

Take care guys....

Happy Friday everyone!

I have a busy day ahead of me. I found someone to bring that herd of rescue guinea pigs (we're up to SIXTY now!!!!) as far as Provo for me, so I don't need to leave until early tomorrow morning now. But I need to get cages set up here at the house, go buy supplies for SIXTY guinea pigs, clean out the Grand Cherokee so I can fit all of them in there, and get to bed early so I can get a good night's sleep! I'll need it!
I'm taking the digital camera so we can document my leg of the guinea pig railroad! I will be sure to post a picture of all the pigs so you can laugh at me.

I hope your eye feels much better now, Jessica! That had to have hurt!!

Movin' on up!
Jin & Spawn: make sure that you don't get arrested for smuggling guinea pigs.

Jesscia: glad you got your eye fixed. Since my LASIK surgery, I'm really careful, with mine. Now that I can see, without glasses, I don't want to screw it up.

Another record-breaking day, here: most consecutive days without rain and most 105+ days.

I'm working 12:30-11:00, today. Unless Bill stops by the store, I won't see him, at all today. Of course, since he doesn't work tomorrow, I CAN wake him up, when I get home!

Don't have a day off, until Monday. Think I'll get my hair cut. I've worn it long, for so many years but I need a change.

Have a good weekend, all!

I'm only working 1/2 day today since no one is in the office. Most everyone took vacation today, but since I don't get actual vacation pay for a year I have to work. One of the bosses said I could take it off, but I need the money more than I need to sleep in!

Jin - you have to post those pictures of the Piggy Train! Good luck with all of that. I hope you all find good homes for all those. 60 guinea pigs is a lot in one place!

Jessica, I was wondering if you got your eye fixed after checking all the threads from yesterday. Maybe you can get Brian to baby you tonight, after going through all that. :laughing2

Hello Ladies! Wow, what a heatwave we had on Cape Cod this past week. I know its nothing in comparison to other parts of the country where its even hotter, but it sure felt like an oven here! Thank god I have AC in my house, I stayed indoors as much as possible.

Yesterday though, tragedy almost struck a bit too close to home. I went w/ my hubby and kids to my parents house for the typical fourth of July bbq, beach thing. My parents live on the ocean like we do, and they have a really nice 20 ft boat that they use to go on short trips like out to the harbor, and maybe down the Cape Cod coast etc.
Well, we figured since it was so hot we'd go out on the boat w/ them for a couple of hours, just to stay cool. We cruised out to Buzzards Bay, for those of you who are unfamiliar w/ that area, its very tricky to navigate because of cross currents. Anways, we hit some very choppy water, but no big deal, we are used to it. Well, all of a sudden we came into 10 ft seas, and we hit a wave so hard that my son bit thru his tongue and started bleeding everywhere. At the same time, I was holding onto my 2 year old daughter and we got tossed right out of our seats onto the deck. I hit my head hard.
It was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. We were in rough seas for about 1/2 hour, and getting tossed about everywhere. The kids were scared, and so was I. My dad did the best he could to get us back into the harbor, but it was tough. It could have been much worse I guess, but it was quite traumatic for all of us. ( Hubby said it was fun afterward
) Oh well, we all survived w/ a few bumps and bruises, and I'm sure we'll hit the high seas again soon!!

Happy Friday everyone!

Daniela,

Glad there was a happy ending to your story. Quite enough adventure for one day! I'd have been terrified, and half an hour would have seemed like an eternity for me.

Hope everyone had a great day.

It's the week-end!!!!! YAY!
