Yesterday I noticed one of my kittens was walking with a slight limp...I examined his legs and body carefully....no sign of injury...so I thought I'd monitor it today and see whether to take him to a vet.

Today he is running about fine with no limp at all.

Just wondering if I should take him to the vet or if it can wait the 2 weeks when he is scheduled to go to the vet for his neutering? He seems fine today.

Anyone else had a cat with a disappearing limp which comes back to cause problems later?

I have 2 kittens out of a litter of 5 strays that developed a limp over the weekend, along with lethargy and fever. One of them has recovered, the other is still limping. They are scheduled for a vet visit in the morning, so if I get any interesting info, I'll let you know!

Hope all is ok with your babies... Yes please keep me posted!

I am thinking my little one was trying to climb something and has fallen and sprained himself a little yesterday. He has no signs of lethargy, fever, limping, cuts or bruising today - I am hoping its nothing serious and has 'gone away'...but kittens are so fragile..

I'm glad to hear yours is feeling better!
They can get into things without our even knowing - ours developed a habit of jumping on and off the kitchen counter. I'm hoping they just landed wrong, but it seems strange that both would hurt the exact same leg at the exact same time, while presenting with the other symptoms.... If you don't have any more problems, I'm sure you'll be fine until your vet appt. Best wishes!!

I think your kitten should be fine. I was at my cousin's place in Cambodia for a while. She has 5 weeks old kittens, and a very annoying monkey with a biting problem(bites very hard, as a matter of fact). You can already guess what happened. The kitten was limping for a while, but was completely fine the next day. And yeah, I don't think they have any vet is in Cambodia...

Found out today mine were limping due to calicivirus, but even without meds they aren't limping today. He said the arthritis aspect can clear up really quickly without treatment. If I were you I'd be sure to mention it to the vet, just in case.
