I assume that the cat will bleed a little after giving birth, and I am sure that I have read about it somewhere in this forum, so can anyone give me an idea how long it lasts and what is considered 'too much' bleeding?
I have not noticed any blood in the cage but when she got up to eat, she dripped about 3-4 drops. When she went back in and laid down she was licking herself for a couple of minutes. I take it that this is normal?

Yes, completely normal. And it can normally last for up to 10 days. It should never be more than a couple of small drops, but as I have said before, even a small amount of blood looks huge because it's ... well, it's blood and it's blood coming out of a sweet little kitty which we love! *wink*

She's taking good care of her babes? Everyone fat and happy?

Icis bled for about 5 days after. Just a few drops here and there. She also had some discharge too. all normal. looks like alot cause cats arnt that big, but it is normal. if she has a pool of it( blood) by here after laying down, THEN i would be concerned.

Thanks Ladies!
I guess I was more freaked because she 'dripped' on the light colored carpet (this is a rental house) and I needed to clean it up right away. There has been nothing on the blanket in her crate but she also licks herself too.

The babies appear to be in good shape. The dark colored one is all over the place! She pushes the others out of the way and gets what she wants. They all weigh about 4 oz.
