Just before the weekend (Thursday night) I brought home a couple of six-packs of the flavored water that I drink all the time. Because I was bringing in a bunch of groceries as well, I put the bags that had the water in it on the floor in the living room, then promply forgot to put the water away.

Yesterday, I remembered the water, and when I picked up the sixes and carried them to the kitchen, I was perplexed because it appeared that perhaps one of the caps was loose - my hands got wet from carrying them.

So I started checking the caps - nothing wrong there, all nice & tight. "Huh," I thought to myself, "what could it be?"

Then I started to take the bottles out of the plastic rings to put them into the fridge, and when I squeezed the first bottle to yank it out of the rings, I was suddenly showered with water!!

It seems that Ginger decided to give scratching water bottles a try - out of two six-packs, five bottles of water had puncture holes in several places on the bottom of the bottles, just where claws would be if a paw was extended on the bottles!

Silly kitty! Flavored water is for humans!

Yikes! That could get really messy! The other night I brought the grocery bags in and set them on the floor. I ran to the bathroom and when I came back my 12 week old kitten had taken a canteloupe out of the bag and was pushing it around the kitchen. I couldn't believe that he was strong enough, but he sure was!

Actually, from what I understand, lots and lots of cats love olives. Ginger turned her nose up at them when I offered her one. Picky little thing!
