Does anyone else here have a favorite kitty quote?

I have owned cats for many years and my favorite quote is one I have found to be completely true:

"A house without a cat is not a home."

I can't specifically pick out a favorite, but here are a bunch of them.

I think I find it just as interesting to see who has made all these quotes.....Abraham Lincoln, Albert Schweitzer, to name a few.

Great list Deb, my fave is: "Some people own cats and go on to lead normal lives."
Plus an old one that says 2If you want the best seat in the house, you'll have to move the cat"

I'm hard pressed to pick out a favorite, but the guy who wrote this:

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.Â:censor: ~Leo Dworken

must have been in my house!

 sooo true..... masking tape just don't work!!
(nor do those stupid "pet hair remover" roller thingys..... useless....) But who wants to get rid of kitty fur anyway?!? It makes your clothes complete!! (and furniture of course)

I have a solution to never being able to completely remove cat hair from furniture...hide it with a matching color. And it works! My mother sits on this futon all the time and never suspects a thing.

My Dirt Devil hand vac works very well. For clothing, Static Guard and a good shake is excellent. If I'm wearing velvet, though, I sit on a wooden chair, before going out.

Deb that is a great list. I particularly like this one:

Of all the toys available, none is better designed than the owner himself. A large multipurpose plaything, its parts can be made to move in almost any direction. It comes completely assembled, and it makes a sound when you jump on it. ~Stephen Baker
Lorie - Snowball does blend in nicely. My problem with your theory is that Ophelia is black and white. My whole house would look like a cow! :laughing2 Besides, she would still find a way to put the white fur on the black parts, and the black fur on the white parts.

Deb, I hadn't seen some of those quotes before, they're all good. I'm staying with my original favorite but I'm bookmarking your list.

Valanhb, sometimes I think cats delibertly look for contrasting colors to make sure the fur that they're shedding really stands out. At least that's what seems to happen at my house. Snowball spent a lot more time sleeping on the black futon than he does on the white one. It's the same way with everything else too, he's a lot more likely to lay on something if it's a dark color.

I used to have a black cat, Scamp. He KNEW that he looked gorgeous, in red and slept on my red velvet bedspread, all the time. He was, also fons of the red fuzzy Cchristmas tree skirt.

It's really the cat's house - we just pay the mortgage. ~Author Unknown
