Thanks guys! I missed y'all too!

I'm hoping for "no weird guys" although around here they're abounding. I've already managed an escape from what was probably going to be someone mugging me. I was walking down a side street (well, about to be) and I noticed the guy who turned the corner at the opposite end sort of stopped and looked at me, like he was waiting for me to get to him.
Needless to say, I turned around and walked the long way down the busy street.

But they don't come into the apartment complex. Thankfully. Although my neighbor's car got busted into on Saturday just before I moved in. I don't go in the parking lot.

Other than that! I like it here. And Zissou really likes it. She seems to like it better than the last one.

Oh, and this is weird:

The second I went to bed the first night here, Zissou snuggled in right at my feet. If you remember my thread about how she wouldn't sleep on the bed?

Well, now she won't sleep anywhere else at night. It's weird. It's the same bed, the same kind of sheets as before just a different color... But now she's passed out on it even now.

Huh. She probably is just a little needy after the move and associated chaos and that's making her want to be on the bed with you. Plus, I'm guessing that even when you're not in it the bed and linens is one of the things in the new apartment that smells like you the most.

I just got home yesterday from GA and hubby said Anya didn't sleep in the bed the whole time I was gone. I woke up this morning with her sleeping next to my pillow with her front paws on my head.

Glad to hear your move went well. Be careful there in the big city, but it sounds like you're being cautious and aware. Congrats on the new apt!

Congrats on making the big move! Funny, we moved on the same weekend.
I'm glad to hear that Zissou likes the new place, and whatever is making her more snuggly is a good thing too.
Trent loves our new place and he has been ultra-lovey, so maybe it's just her way of telling you that she approves.

glad the move went well stay away from short cuts and no side alleys I would rather take a bit longer then have the worst happen
