My husband and I needed to go over to a shop in Beverly Hills to pick up some little gifts for my family (I'm going home next week for a visit). On our way out the door Anya gave us that pitiful "You're leaving without me...." look, so we both looked at each other and knew she was going with us.

We're trying to get her used to her cat carrier because she's flying back east with us for Christmas (4-5 hour flight), not to mention we want her to like it and not go somewhere terrible like the vet every time she gets in the carrier.

So off we go. Strolling up Beverly and Rodeo Drive with Anya in tow. She loved it. Everybody else had their dogs in carriers and on leashes so she was pressed up against the side of her soft carrier checking EVERYTHING out. She loved the attention from all the people and little kids.

After a little shopping we headed off to Petco to pick up some more litter and her VERY FIRST set of Soft Claws (I have some pretty fierce scratches across my nose from 4am kitten crazies). Miss Anya was tuckered out and asleep before we left the store.

She's home now and I've already put her new Soft Claws on. She hasn't reacted to them yet. She just let me slide them right on and hasn't seemed to take notice of them. I'm hoping it stays this way.

Anyway, thought everybody would like to hear about Anya's big day out. She's such a little cutie. Sorry I forgot to take the camera.

That is so sweet. Its good to get her used to being out and about. She can adjust and be happy doing it. Especially on Rodeo Drive...LOL

When I was younger and didnt know better, I rescued this little kitten on the side of the road. When I would leave I would say, "lets go bye bye", she would come running, jump in the car and off we'd go. After a while I started to open the window and she would just hang her head out like a dog. Everyone that we pulled up beside would just laugh. Now the thought of me doing that makes me cringe at what horrible things could have happened, but the point is, she LOVED going out and about and being around everyone and would cry if she couldnt go. So if your little girl likes it, keep doing it and we might even see her on TV one day, shopping on Rodeo Drive.

What a wonderful outing for all of you. We have a carrier (sort of like a baby carrier that you wear) and it has a hook inside to clip a leash on. We used to take Mika out shopping with us in the little pouch. She was wonderful and loved being out and about.

We used it for Bijou too until he got too darn big for it.

Ahhh, it sounds like Anya was the popular cutie of Rodeo Drive
And what a great way to advertise that cats can be just as social and charming as dogs!
I hope that she gets to go shopping again, soon, & that the camera goes, too!

The girl that introduced me to the products told me that the company originatd in Canada. I used one of their solid shampoo bars this morning and I have to admit...I kind of liked it. I bought it because I thought solid shampoo would travel better than liquid.

For anyone that doesn't know the company we're talking about: http://www.lush.com/
