I got a bucket of bulbs for my birthday in April, and just recently planted them in my MIL yard, because she lives right behind us.
And look what we found a couple mornings ago!
I was so proud, as they were my first two flowers ever grown by me ever.
(pic is off of a camera phone)
My freesia. I call her "breezy"

And this is my Gladiola. (right? that's what it's called?) I call her "belle"

More should be popping out soon.
I LOOOVE gardening. I really wish I my very own yard to grow things in.
I am in love with freesia's.
So if anyone on here has some beautiful freesia's to show me, feel free to hi-jack my thread..

I have only just started gardening, I haven't figured out if I like it yet or not though.

Your flowers look beautiful.

Oh I like it. I love watering them, and picking the weeds so the weeds dont eat my poor baby bulbs. It's like a motherly nature thing.

And then to see them bloom! It's like watching your little miracle right before your eyes.

That's a good one Leah..Great job.

Anyways-I dont even have a yard...One day I will though, and it will look as great as Susie's BackYard, and Gardenandcats yard put together.
I admire the both of thier yards.

The theory is appealing, I grant you.

But I know for sure now that if I ever murder anyone, they're digging their own darn grave.

Congratulations on your first gardening endeavour. They are beautiful. Gladioli are my very favourite flower.

I'll look for more pictures of more of your flowers.
