I do but am having them out and SOON! My bottom right one is starting to hurt my jaw but three of them are already in. It is soooooooo PAINFUL! I ate Skittles the other day and chewed them right on my bottom right one and it felt soooo good! I feel like a teething baby
And ever since I had my tonsils out(see tonsil thread) I am iffy about people around my mouth and throat area

I have all of mine. They don't bother me either. I think I'm 'lucky' because I still have a few baby teeth that never had an adult one underneath, so it left me a bit of extra room and things for them.

I'm not sure how to answer this

When I was 20 I had all 4 pulled at once. Then last year when I went to have my top teeth pulled they did xrays and I have a 2nd set coming in. I thought maybe they pulled molars... Nope, 2 sets of wisdom teeth! Had 2 of them pulled last year and have 2 more to be pulled....Figures, I would be a freak of nature

Laureen forgot to put that one in the poll!

Mine were removed when I was 18. It was pretty fun, of course having an IV of Valium will often give you that impression.

OH YEAH! I was on cloud 9!

The drugs ROCK but the aftermath sucks!

i guess it'd be that you've had them ALL removed. i didn't think of having more than one set. i thought of having none to remove, because my mom, dad, sister & i fit in that category - we're pretty rare, but not as rare as you are!

I had all 4 pulled two years ago. I was really not in to much pain because my husband keep giving me pain killers. I was more shocked at how much bruising I had and how sollowen I was afterwards. I was in bed for about three days but then I could not take it anymore and I also stopped taking all the pain killers because I was doing nothing but sleeping. I think the packing they put into the space there the bottom teeth were hurt more then anything else. I could not wait for the doctor to take out the packing. Oh, I also had a back molar taken out at the same time. So I had 5 removed all at once.

I actually had all my top teeth removed because of a car accident last year... THAT was fun!

Before wisdom teeth:

Post op:

My face kind of exploded....
I reckon I started coming out of the general, so the doc punched me a few times to knock me out again.... heh.

All 4 removed the day before I got my pic taken for my first driver's license

In the 80's, big hair, with matching big face

I would post pics of mine but it would probably scare people... Although that's pretty bad for just wisdom teeth removed

Wow, did he have to dig around for root pieces? I've only had 1 patient with such extensive swelling. Did you ice and take anti-inflamatories? How many days has it been since the actual operation? Did you incur any nerve irritation? Sorry, I am just curious.

I had them out like a week before my birthday last year in 2004 I think it was. They were ruining my dental work because they were pushing my teeth over to make room. Luckily I hadn't had my perminent retainer removed yet at the time so that was holding them back in place.

Anywhoo, I had all 4 removed, I figured I might as well do it in all one shot so I wouldn't have to come back later. But the anesthesia didn't work for me. My dentist (I started to say My vet
) got it all ready and held the thing up to my nose and mouth and started asking me questions to get me to talk, well I was still talking after a few minutes and he was like, hmm that should have worked. Well he tried something different and that didn't work either, finally the third thing he tried worked (I don't know if htey have different types of anesthesia or he just used more) but after a long time it finally worked BUT I still woke up in the middle of it and the dentests knee was on my chin. It was really akward, he was like, what are you doing awake so he gave me more anesthesia
.

My face ended up looking very much the same.

I swear he had to plant a knee in my chest for leverage on my lower jaw

I was given nothing for pain or swelling, all I got was a box of gauze, and a profilactic antibiotic.

Not sure if he had to dig around - one tooth that he removed was broken. I did ice and take pain killers and antibiotics, not not specific anti-inflammatories. I don't think I iced well enough though, I should have used a pack of frozen peas rather than the ice pack I had.

I didn't have any nerve damage, but my jaw was REALLY stiff, and it was about a week before I could open my jaw wide enough to fit a toothbrush in, and even then I could only barely fit it in - I couldn't brush very well. I could just manage a flat spoon to shovel a bit of food in. It was about 8 weeks before I could open my jaw the entire way again! I also had a lump in my cheek where the bruising is that took forever to go away.

This was in October last year, so it's all fine now!
