Yet to be named still. I'm thinking of a "character" name ie. a character from a movie we like. I'm leaning towards Arwen at the moment. My husband likes Phantom - the ghost who walks, because we've managed to completely lose her twice already in the smallish bedroom she's in
Now she's feeling a little more safe she isn't hiding quite so well...

Anyway, introducing "kitten".

Stumpy and "kitten" hanging out together

So the socialisation is going well. Stumpy is still hissing and growling a bit, but I expect that, and it's not aggressive, more like warning the kitten who's the queen of the house. The kitten certainily isn't bothered at all by it. She keeps hanging out in the kitten's room with me (I'm studying in here on the floor for the moment), and lies near the kitten and just watches her and purrs.

I give it a couple of days before they're best buddies.

Hmmmm just thought of another name - Nemo
We couldn't find her and were "Finding Nemo"...

So what do you think of the colour? Dilute torbie??? Can you see the little patches of orange on her? They seem a little more obvious in "real life".

Ooh update!! I tried the laser pointer with the kitten which she thought was great fun!! She chased that a bit and came out from under the bed a bit. Stumpy got a little startled by this new action and hissed a little, so I put Stumpy outside the room so the kitten could play a bit.

This little bit of playing was all the confidence she needed, and she had a great time playing under the bed with some other toys I threw for her. Her whole body language looks more confident. Her head is up, her ears are pricked up. She had a scratch in the kitty litter, so she knows it's there. So now she's exploring under the bed and checking things out. I don't think it will be too long before she comes out from under the bed on her own.

Yup, she is eating tinned food and dry food. I'm going to get her human baby food as well. I want to get as much fluid into her as I can to help with the dehydration.

She is such a cutie. I love her coloring. And I thought of something odd, leave it to me, both your kitties are colored similar to your carpet so hiding kitty hair shouldn't be too hard.

That's so true!!!

And Renovia - I was thinking of Galadriel as well, but it's a bit long - I like short kitty names!
I keep calling her names that I think of amd Galadriel was a bit of a mouthful

How she survived the ride in addition to the summer heat is amazing
