Any ideas on age for the kittens I rescued? They are very active. When I saw them I decided that not having formula woudln't kill them today so I softened some dry Felidae in a little bit of Cat Sip and let it set about 10 mins to soften. They are going to town on it, slurping and loving it.
Age and game plan for them?

From the size of them, I'd venture to guess that they are around 3.5-4 weeks old. Cute!!!!!!!!!!!

At around 4 weeks, they do start munching on some wet food, or wet food formula slop (formula and wet kitten food mixed together). I wouldn't altogether stop the bottle feedings with these little ones yet. I would bottle feed twice a day, and offer the "slop" once every 2 hours or so, to get them accustomed to the texture, and to eating, rather than suckling. Week by week, you can reduce the amount of formula in the slop, so that they're just eating straight-up wet kitten food. I would leave dry kibble out for them, if you wish...some begin experimenting with crunching on this on their own. Leave a water dish out at all times...shallow, however. They'll get the hang of this on their own. How about litter training...how's the potty situation?

I made the Glop today. I syringe fed them a little so they knew waht it was, then put some in a dish and they slurped it right down and then flopped down for a nap. So far they are still needing help to go potty. But they were a little dehydrated and very hungry when I got them, so that might have something to do with it. After I helped them potty I found a little bit of poop and a little dribble of pee in the cage. I'm not going to bother with a litter box until they start going on thier own.

I'm going to do about 2 feedings a day of Glop and offer softened dry food a few times a day. I'll adjust accordingly depending on how much they eat, when they seem hungry, etc. I'll pick up some good canned food as soon as I can. All I have right now is the Wysong Au jus, which isn't complete so I don't want to give it to such young kitties. My dry food is Felidae, so I know that will be fine for them.
