Spots (who is due anytime) was in the litter box pooping. It is solid, not runny but when she walked away from the box there was still some either clinging to her, or still coming out and it got on the rug in the next room.
Could it be that she is not feeling that she is not done pooping? I do not know if she was still going whe she left the box (which is clean by the way). My daughter yelled "ooohhhh poop"!

In relation to the above post, do their bowel movements change when near labor?

I would take your litter out and replace it with shredded newspaper. It is not unheard of for kittens to be born in a litter pan.
