Hello

One of my cats ever since i have had her has sometimes done this thing where it looks like shes got hiccups or something? IVe seen all cats do it but she has always done it excessively? ITs like she has a permanent hairball stuck in her throat or something, its just strange or its like shes burbing or something. Shes always done this. She gets innova cat food so it cant be the quality of her food?? ANyon else ever experiendce this? she doesnt look like shes in discomfort or anything its jsut wierd maybe its just gas? LOL

Is she dry heaving? If so, it sounds like a hairball. She may be one of those cat that grooms a lot, and she might benefit from an added hairball preventative like Petromalt or Laxatone.

I was thinking hairballs too. Is she a strictly indoor cat?. I would speak with your vet though to rule out a more serious condition.

Hello

once in a while she will heave/gag but usually it doesnt get that far usually she just does that hiccup head moving burbing motion, I thougt she was just one of those cats that probably has a lot of gas? LOL HAve any of you had a cat that would do this?

my oldre cat gets hiccups quite often, esp right after she bathes. sometimes she makes noise while doing it -just like a person does when they hiccup and suck air in
