I just had to check in and share the good news!! We have been a adopted by a new kitten! She showed up on a friends doorstep who brought her to me. i told Lee that she showed up on our doorstep (tiny white lie won't hurt him
) and that I was going to bring her in because she didn't need to be outside something might get her. So in she went. This morning I asked Lee if we could keep her and we talked about it. He said YES!! So off to the vet she went got her 1st round of shots and tessted for Feline leukemia (neg) and FIV. Dewormed her and now she is at her new furrever home!!

I don't have any pictures yet i have to get the camera from my mom but I will describe her to you all! She is tiny (vet said 9-12 weeks) and gray with white ankle socks on the front and white knee high socks on the back. She has NO TAIL!! Just a tiny nub where her tail should be! Her fur is medium to long and so soft! She is very outgoing and vocal! I am in love!

We haven't picked out a name yet and really have no idea what we are going to name her. I am so excited! Off to read how to properly introduce her to Phenom!!

I am super excited! Lee isn't quite as thrilled as I am. Actually he is less than happy!
But he knows how much I wanted to keep her. Compared to Phenom she is so tiny!! SHe is a little bundle of energy. HSe did so well on the car ride. She was all over the car exploring. I was trying to contain her but she kept sneaking out of the basket (we don't have a carrier yet). Vet said she was really healthy for a stray too! Yipee!!

Thats great that she's so healthy Brandi!

It seems so weird to see you posting on the weekends!

Lets hope that Phenom adjusts to her as well as Harley adjusted to Davidson!
I know she'll appreciate her little sister!!

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Brandi I'm so happy for you! How lucky she is that she 'turned up on your doorstep' lol.
Please please don't take this the wrong way, but, if the kitten is 9ish weeks old, she may already have a home who are missing her
The vet did say she was healthy looking for a stray.
It would be lovely if you could keep her but if I were you I would put up a few flyers first, just incase there is some little girl devastated that her kitten got out.
If nobody responds then yeha! You have a new baby! Lee will just have to get used to it, girls always get what they want

Can't wait to see pics of her!

Congrats on the new baby! I agree with trying to see if she has an owner...but do not give any description! People will call saying it is their cat, whether it is or not! I can't imagine someone letting such a tiny baby loose, but it would be best to list her in the lost and found ads in the paper (a free service!)

Good Morning Everyone!! The though of her having a home has crossed my mind. If a family comes looking for her then I will give her back. My firend said she had been living in a "nest" she made by their trash can for a week or so now. So if she did have a home they aren't looking too hard for her.

The introductions are very slow going. Phenom is a big bully! She can be in a different room when we bring the kitten out and she will run to whatever room we are in and stare the kitten down and swat at her. She doesn't use her claws but its very frustrating. Lee said that when he let them both out this morning they did well. No hissing or swatting!

Kitten is still nameless but we are thinking Phantom. (They are the company that makes Phenoms) Or maybe another racing name.

Did some looking around on their website and they have made: Banshee, Nemesis, Stalker, Gauntlet or of course we could use Phantom. Maybe I will put a poll and see which we all like best but of course I have to take into account Lee's vote.

Sounds like things are going quite well! Harley & Davidson had a few rough encounters when we brought Davidson home, we let them go at it for a minute, and Davidson held his own - and things were fine! We got very lucky.

I LOVE the name Phantom!
