Do you "talk" to your kitties?

I talk to Katie all the time. When I'm ready to leave for work I always kiss Katie goodbye and say " I love you my monkey, I'll see you soon Katie Doll" and when I come home, as soon as I walk in the door I say "where's Katie? where's my little monkey? what Katie doing?" and when I see her I say "oh there she is, my beautiful baby K" and then she get kisses all over her cute little face. Besides that, I talk to katie a lot and she talks right back.

I call Monkey ..."Monk" all the time because I love that show...she really likes it when I call her "Monk" that she will come and find me where ever I am.

Oh gosh, I'm crazy, I sing songs to him and call him my sugarbutt, handsome boy, Mama's Sugar, etc etc, lol. When he's bad I sing a revised version of the 'Cops' song....

Also in my best french accent I call him Ma Connere, lol, and play with the duster with him while talking in french, the duster is his girlfriend, lol, her name is Jennevieve. Lol.

I would talk to Tolly, but he talks so much I can't get a word in.

LOL!! I call all my kittys all sorts of names! And the doggies too, of course.

Lemme see here......sherman is sherman the berman(?) I dunno, it just rhymes. Umm, Chloe, is Clotus(LOL) I now have my 2 y/o calling her that. Freddie is Freddie beddie(again, it just rhymes) LOL.....Lucky is Lucky girl, or lucky bo bucky.lol. Abby is crabby abby...lily is willy....jimmie(dog) is jimbo, or something crazy like that. Amy is Amos-haha.

Something else I say is something like "woonus of the world"(but it doesnt come out as world,lol) My son laughs at me when I say that! He says "mom why do you say that all the time"

i have all kinds of names for Wonton

actually the word Wonton isn't uttered that often in this house. usually it's "BooBoo" or "BooBoo Kitty" or "Boo Boo Kitty Mow Mow".

or "hey Big boy! hey Big Tab! hows the big tabby? come here Big Tab. wow...look at that belly. what a Tubby Tabby!"

and ectetera...

Ok, when i come home i do open the door and shout 'Hi guys, had a good day ?' (to the cats that is ) But i usually talk to them normally, as if they were people. Is that worse ?

Yes, I talk to my cats all the time- Viola turns into Vi Vi and Natasha into Tashie. They respond to that quicker than their actual names.

I talk to my cats mostly like I talk to people. I talk to babies like that to. My sister (a mother) finds it hilarious the way I talk to my niece on the phone. Megan has four words (mama, dada, oh-oh! and peekaboo) but I insist on talking to her like she's 17.

Molly helps me study for exams - I hide my notes and try to explain what I'm studying to her to see if I remember it all. It really helps.

I talk to Harley all the time

Every morning we have our little conversations (one sided of course )

I always tell him to keep an eye on Davidson, and to be nice to him, he's only a baby!
And that he's my favorite kitty in the whole wide world, and not to let Davidson know, cuz I love him too, but Harley's my #1 favorite cuddle bug!

And I tell Davidson to be a good little kitty, bad kitties don't get treats

Oh and I do the same as you do Brandi, when John is being a pest, I tell them both to ignore daddy, cuz he's a meanie!

John just rolls his eyes like I'm crazy.... but I tell him that they understand.... just watch out

Reilly is ReillyGirl and Reilly Cat..

Tiger and I have convo's every morning by the coffee pot. His momma (Dixie) was a chatter and he gets it honest
My DH often asks me "Who are you talking to" in the mornings and then he hears Tiger chirping back and Dh just laughs at us but it wouldn't be a good morning w/o talking w/Tiger

Ansel is Ansel Wansel....and I always ask him, "how is mama's little boy doing?" even though he's 8 years old. I also ask him, "why does him tee tee all over the house?" I keep waiting for an answer from him on that one, but he's not giving it.

Zan is Zanny Wanny and Zanny girl.

Bella is just "mama's little girl" since she is the baby. Bella Wella just doesn't sound right.

Imagining all these things being said to all these cats had me laughing so hard .....

Easy always wants me to chase her she'll come and say " meow" and start running ... so I run after her ....she jiggles her butt while she runs .... I call her sassy butt (but the uncensored version).

Kiko is a HUGE cry baby. He cant stand it when I interact with any human. If Im on the phone, hes constantly crying if I have company hes constantly crying. So I call him cry baby and he cries.I can go on and on about him.

I call Ducky doo doo and doo doo butt. Tino is teen bean teen butt teenie beanie the big meanie why you have to be so cleanie. Laura is my peenie poo. I have so many names for them all.... and its baby talk sound. When I talk about them in my normal voice they dont even notice but when I talk to them in baby talk, they know exactly.

Astrid Ray is my bun-bun, honey bun, princess pretty paws and sometimes little miss crankypants! I talk to her constantly and I live alone so...

I have told me co-workers to let me know if they hear me at work talking to myself since I am now so used to just saying whatever I want around the cat. Thinking of course that she is listening - ha! When I had a guest over last weekend she was disgusted and amazed at the voices I use and what I was saying. But I can't help it! Astrid looks at me like I am nuts too.

And hear i am sitting here thinking i am nuts talking to my boy,s, i think the fellow over the back thinks im whackooooooooo but he dont know cos he dont know i live with 6 of them , and they all respond to their own sounds and noises, its great and its like they all line up in the morning when i go to work and they are all in the same place when i come home, great time peices . yes i have come to the conclusion that if you have a cat or cats then its all over you just simply talk cat i think

I talk to my kitties all the time. Scooter aka Poot, is my most vocal. I ask him "what is my Pootster baby doing?" and he will usually make his funny little "feed meeeeee" noise, even if I have just fed him.
Fred used to like me to sing to him. I would hold him and dance with him while I warmed up for the karaoke contests I used to participate in most weekends. He would wrap his little paws around my neck, lay his head down and purr.

Oh, yeah, talk, sing, argue...

We've had some real talkers in the past. Mom could be heard every morning making coffee and conversing with one of our cats.

Tom Tinker, however, could say words! Drove the next door neighbor nuts.
