Good and not-so-good memories....my last day of work!

Since I've recently took a job as a 3rd grade teacher, and I start training on Monday....today is my last day at my company...I've been with them for 4 years now and there have been so many memories, good & bad...but most of all they are family...which I am a little sad that I have to go! It's so weird to experience this, it's like a new chapter in my life.

Anyone want to share their stories when changing careers and some of the good memories or bad memories of your old job?! (I thought it would be neat to share this--maybe you can give me a laugh for the day!)

My last day at work at my old job was bitter sweet. I handed in my notice, and my manager decided to give me a half an hour lecture on why it's important to have a job. I went around and said good buy to everyone, and cried a bit. In my exit interview, I was asked why I was leaving. When I started to state the reasons the girl from personnel started to roll her eyes, and said "Well everyone who leaves, leaves for those reasons."
After work I went out with some friends for a drink.

I ended having the best day...they had a wonderful catered party for me with gifts...I'll post pics later tonight!!

Well last Sept my office closed with 20 yrs on the job. The last few yrs-we had downsized before-not much job advancement-terrible raises-favoritism.
But on last day 9/12 of us (not the top 2 bosses or the one women no one really liked) we rented a Hummer Limo and when bar hopping!!! Then a week later the 6 of us women all went to Vegas for a few days-we were never able to have more than a couple of people on vacation so this was a good time for us.
Now its been almost 10 months-do I miss the place NO!!!!!! I doesn't seen like I ever worked there that long..it was good benefits, ok pay but I don't miss corporate life at all.
