I've been hearing them sneez quit a few time ( more yesterday than today) and I've noticed that they have difficulty meowing.

They attempt to meow, and it sounds raspy and strained.

I plan on taking them to the vet first thing tomorrow.

Has this happend to anyone else? What was used for treatment? How long did it take for them to recover? How dangerous is it?

I need some reassuring...

Most cases will result in antibiotics for a while and then they'll be fine. It's usually a viral URI and doesn't need antiobiotics and it'll probably be about 7-10 days and they'll be fine on their own. Don't get me started on the whole antibiotic oversubscription issue. Just ask your vet if they are sure you cat needs antibiotics and if they do prescribe them, use the same rules as you would for yourself. Give them the required doseages and the right intervals and always use them all even if your cat seems fine after a couple days. If you cut it short and the infection returns, the antibiotics may not work so well the second time.

I think it is fairly common. I've had it several times, and depending on the exact symptoms, you will get antibiotics, or the vet will advise you to let it run its course.

I'm glad you are getting them to the vet...let us know how it goes!
