We had a quiz today in my European history class... and one of the question was asking who was the British Prime Minister who oversaw the transition from peace time to war time industry during WW 1.

According to the prof, the answer was David Lloyd George

I answered Asquith.

My logic: I remember that the book said that Lloyd George had overseen the change in 1915. So I almost answered Lloyd George. HOWEVER, I remembered that he didn't become Prime Minister until 1916. I explained to the prof and he said that he had become Prime Minister in 1915.

Well, I just checked half a dozen different online sources (most of the from the British government), and I'M RIGHT.

Nothing like proving a prof wrong to boost your ego a little!

Yeah i know that feeling. I got a 2.5 on a paper, and after explaining it all to my professor for why things were stated as they were, and why I reasoned the way I reason. He brought the grade up to a 3.0.

Bring all the information you can and hopefully he will change that answer from wrong to correct.

Good luck.

That shouldn't be a problem. When I told him I thought it was 1916, he agreed to look into it and if I'm right, he'll give me the point.
