Vent about MIL....

My Dh is helping my MIL by fixing her car for her. Well she brought her car over here and I had to drive her back to her house. On the way I had to stop to pick up the kids. Well Justice wasn't back from his field trip yet so I went and picked up Deacon. My Dh and his mom sat in the truck while I ran in. I was in there about 10 mins and on my way out a friend of mine who I went to High School with (her daughter attends there also) stopped me and asked who was in the truck. I told her my MIL. She then tells me my MIL flicked her off because my friend was sitting behind her waiting for her to close the truck door so she could pull in the space next to her.After waiting a good 5 mins my friend honked her horn and my MIL gave her the finger! Mind you parking is tight and scarce at the daycare.
I was SO embarrassed that I wanted to hide. She said my MIL also gave her a VERY nasty look when she pulled in and mumbled something. My DH didn't see or hear this because he was in the ext cab on the phone with work.
I told her I was extremely sorry and explained to her that she's just a rude vulgar old bat. THEN a teacher at the daycare came out and said she seen her do it and if it happens again that she wouldn't be allowed back on the property because they can't allow that behaviour in front of the kids. Again I apologized and explained that she literally is mentally ill and I have had NUMEROUS incidents with her including her trying to shove me in a hot oven.
They understood but again said that is not allowed around the kids.. I agreed.
I walked back to the truck and calmy said "My friend wasn't trying to be rude by honking but she couldn't get in because your door was opened" My MIL says " I'm not I KNOW THAT" and gave me a nasty look and slammed the door.
I didn't say another word to her the whole way to her house.
I told DH and he said he's going to say something to her...
He better or I will and it wont be in the least bit nice!
What sucks is tomorrow I have to pick her up and bring her back here to pick her car up... can I make her ride in the back of the truck in the bed???????

Sorry so long, just had to vent!

Man..if it were me i would tell her she gets no more rides from me unless she can behave like a respectfull Adult infront of people. I get flustered when steve even honks a horn at someone who cuts infront of him.i couldnt imagine behaving or being around someone behaving like that especially around children.

Go ahead & put her in the truck bed. I'd make her ride in the trunk of my car if she acted like that! Really....at daycare you would think she would know that little kids would see something like that...

I know she's mentally ill and all but it's not like she doesn't know what she's doing. She knows VERY WELL what she's doing and then blames it on her mental illness when she gets caught doing it.
In the past I have banned her from my house and being around my kids because of this behaviour. My husband will say something to her and detach himself from her for a month or two but she plays this pity party game with him that he's the only person she can depend on because he's the only child...blah blah blah and despite the fact she SEVERLY abused him as a child he knows she's mentally ill and forgives her for her actions. Me, I would NEVER speak to her again if I had that choice!
