Grumpy Mum - Advice Please

Hi,

I have three 3.5 week old kittens and the mother cat has begun to get very growly and upset with people, kitten and if she sees another of our cats.

The start with see seemed to have no problem with anyone being near them but in the last week her behaviour has got worrying.

I have needed to feed formula to one of the kittens as it was losing weight and that kitten seems to prefer to be with me and cries for my attention.


Also when trying get kittens to wean, she growls and eats up the food super fast so they get none

Some advice would be great

First, I would keep her out of the room while the babies are eating.Lock her in another room, let the kits eat their fill and then Mom can come in and eat what's left over
If she is grouchy, is there a chance that she is PG again?
ANything new in your home?Pets?New people?Have you moved the kits?
I would also keep all other cats from her and her kits if she is getting kind of grumpy.

totaly agree with the previous post. something might have changed for her to change her attitude so quickly.
