alternative treatments for URI?????

hi....

one of my foster cats seems to be coming down with uri...
is there anything i can give her to prevent it from happening?
or boost her imune system?

i can vaccinate her right now in case she is getting sick....

WHat is she eating ??? brand type wet or dry or both ....

YOu need a vet now but you can help prevent later with some things

You could ask your vet about L-lysine which will inhibit the herpes virus. Good nutrition and a low stress environment will also help her fight it. If she is truly coming down with a URI it wouldn't be a good idea to vaccinate her but your vet would take her temp and better help you decide that.

well i am in lose contact with the vet and she says that if there is no sneezing or discharge or diahrrhea then we can just wait and see what happens. i do a lot of foster work but i've never had to deal with a possible URI.

will try the l-lysine supplement as i have a stock of that in powdered for nyway. thanks
