What are the names of the lactose pills? I'm going to try them- my doctor said they may help. Also milk really triggers mine- but i do alright with small amounts of yogurt and cheese- it just depends. Has anyone tried the Soy Silk (vanilla) ? I have to use soy milk now, so i'm wondering if it tastes alright.I told him there was no way i would give up my ice cream lol- i'll suffer through that one

I hate soy milk, and I eat fake meat made out of textured vegetable protein every day. It's actually grainy. Which is something milk should not be! Bleck! But I know people who love it, too. Get the smallest container you can find, and try it out. The chocolate one is way better than the "plain" one.

Hm, weird foods huh? I love chocolate milk on cereal.

My mom makes this really good thing that is like a dessert caserole with crushed pretzels as a crust, and then a cool whip/ cream cheese layer, and then Jello on top. It sounds weird but it is soooooo good!

I am such a picky eater, I guess I don't eat anything weird. But I like honey on my fake chicken nuggets, and syrup on my fake sausage (this was true when I ate the real meat too).

I have a craving for Nutella and grahams, or falafel, now. Weird combination of things to crave!

Thanks for the tips on milk. Personally, i'm not a huge fan of milk- i only use skim milk in my cereal, and i will only drink milk if it's flavored. I do use it in my cooking a lot though. I'm going to try the vanilla flavored soy milk first...one of the little boys that i teach is litterally allergic to almost everything- so he drinks that and he seems to do alright with it. It's actually kind of sweet- his entire family has switched to only the organic foods that he can eat so that he never feels left out
. I'm going to see if i can even tolerate it- i'm having some really bad medical issues at the moment (GERD, Hiatial Hernia, IBS, and now lactose intolerance---they also think i'm diabetic, which is a whole other issue, i'm scared to death to get tested for it. ) -everything i eat is making me sick.
even fruits and veggies. I'm going to take your advice and get a small container to try. Hopefully it won't be too bad
i don't have much of a choice at this point- everything i eat is making me sick. diary or not

Oh, and by the way, what is Nutella? It sounds interesting.

Nutella is like, a chocolate and hazelnut mixture that spreads like very creamy peanut butter. It tastes exactly like the creamy stuff inside Lindor truffles or the Ferrero Roche ones, except it isn't all that expensive. It is delicious.

I hope you feel better soon. Both my parents have IBD and I totally understand what you're going through.

I hope you like Silk better than I do!

Potato chips dipped in chocolate pudding sound good!

I like Mac N Cheese w/honey. Also Mac N Cheese and cream corn mixed.

Right now I'm eating Cheez Whiz and crackers... not unusual to me

I absolutely LOVE Nutella!!! It's so yummy! I first tried it when I was staying with my host family in France, and they would head down to the boulangerie (bakery) every morning, and grab fresh warm croissants, squeeze fresh orange juice, and we'd GLOB Nutella on our croissants...my host sister called it "pain du chocolate," which is "chocolate bread" in English. TO DIE FOR!!!

Time to drool.

Wouldn't you know, not even a few hours after i asked you what Nutella was, i went to World Market with my friend and found it-
lol, so of course i had to try it- it's awesome! / I wound up just buying some of the cheap Lactaid tablets (walgreens brand)and i've just been taking them before i eat anything with dairy in it- it seems to be working alright so far. i'm gonna see if that works in the long run, that way i don't have to buy everything in Soy and i can eat and drink as normal without putting a dent in my budget or completely altering my grocery list. Thanks for the well wishes- and thanks for introducing me to Nutella! I have a new favorite lol.

I just LOVE nutella!
I can eat it out of the jar by its self..
but it is scrumptious on bagels or graham crackers!
