traveling with a pg cat who is due?

My older sister is lonely since she lives with herself so i was going to go visit her on thursday and comeback sunday but Kitty is due any day now. My mom and younger sister have no idea as to what to do if Kitty has complications and i do.i wanted to know if it is ok if i take her with me to my sisters house. i was going to bring a big dog cage and put her in that and if she has the kittens then when we bring her back home keep the windows up and the AC off. that was all my mom's idea. i dont really think that would be a good idea but i was wanting a second opinion. i really want to go visit my sister but i dont want to leave Kitty. what do i do???

I can understand your sister is lonely, but have you explained to her that your cat is due any day? Even if your sister is lonely, she should understand the importance of you STAYING home for a week or two till the cat has kittens.

I would NOT move a pregnant cat the is due in a few days/week unless it was a very extreme emergency. Visiting a lonely sister is not an emergency in my book.

Talk to your sister every day and then visit after your kitty has her babies and everything is ok.

I think it would be to stressful. Cats dont' like to travel anyway and she is going to be on edge with being pregnant. Can you delay the trip a weekend?

that is what i said. i know it is not an emergancy but me and my sister are close and i promised her 2 weeks ago that when Kitty had the babies i would go visit her the next week now i promised this week. and i start flags on monday and i have 2 weeks of 8 hour practices then i start school... so i dont know what i'm ganna do.

thanks though guys. i thought it was a bad idea. i'll just have to break my sisters heart again... god i dont know how i'm going to tell her i cant come up again..

How far away does your sister live? Can she come visit you instead?

when i was about to tell her that i couldent come she told me that i couldent come because she had a test to study for *whew* so its all good. thanks guys!
