I'm currently temping at a major corporation, doing data entry, and I'm not overly fond of my job. I'm in the process of trying to find a better job, and I'm in the running for a position I'd really like, that makes full use of my skills (e.g. isn't just data entry), where I'll make more money and will save money because it cuts down on transportation costs.
So ... I think my temp contract is about to offer me a permanent position. I don't WANT to work here permanently, but I can't afford to turn down work. But what if I say yes and then get the job I want at the other company? What if I say no and the other job doesn't pan out? I don't want to take this permanent position only to quit in a couple of days because I got the job I wanted. And I've been wondering if I should ask the temp agency to re-assign me, because I really am unhappy here. But it's full-time work and I need the money, and if it became a permanent position that would come with benefits (I think -- the job I want DOES come with benefits) which I also really need.
Argh, argh, argh. I don't know what to do. I hate being indecisive. I am not, by nature, an indecisive person, but this is too important for me to just do what I normally do, which is fly by the seat of my pants.
