or does Nature's Best seem a little more oily than most dry kitty foods? I was just wondering if I got a bad bag (it smells alright though) or if that is the way it is supposed to be??

Well, the first two ingredients are corn gluten meal and animal fat, or brewer's rice, corn gluten mean, and animal fat. For something that expensive I'd at least like a meat in a food for a carnivorous animal.

Maybe this explains why it's greasy. They may also spray it with something so that cats will actually eat it, I've never met a cat who would naturally want to eat corn gluten meal or rice all day. This may also explain why it's oily.

You can find a way better food much cheaper than that one.

That exactly ... Usually cat food especially kitten should have lots of meat , not grain first
