Strange title I know. Last night I rescued 2 - approximately 5month old boys, solid black. I swear they are twins. I've so far found only one difference (one has 2 white hairs on his front right leg, the other only has one!
). This two wonderful boys were dumped near an airfield and some of my friends had been feeding them for a few days. They are so friendly, though one is a bit of a biter, purr like mach trucks, eat like there's no tomorrow and general would like nothing better then to be glued to your side!

Anyway...these 2 need names by tomorrow to go in their medical records (getting first vaccinations tomorrow). Please help...I want to come up with something good for them (maybe air/flying related?).

I am going to try to get some pictures...I just need to borrow a functionning digital camera!!

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!

Orig. from Texas.. Currently in Minnesota (again)
i looked up aviation terminology and found these.....

"Mach" ....... Is the speed of sound (at ground level approx 670 mph/ 1,072km/h)

Bogey......... Military slang for target aircraft

Charlie.......... Copied/received transmission OK

NOSAR......... No search and rescue required

Roger............... Yes

VICTOR .......... Military way of referring to VHF band

WILCO .......... I Will Comply (hahahahaha i laughed so hard when i read this one just the thought of a cat complying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Zulu....... Is co-ordinated universal time (UTC/GMT)

What about, Bogey and Bandit?

Bogey: code for a radar or visual air contact whose identity is unknown

Bandit: An aircraft identified as an enemy... the term does not necessarily imply direction or authority to engage.

(definations from wikipedia)

Captures kitten mischief making nicely, I think, esp. for twin black cats.

awesome suggestions everyone! I thought about Orville and Wilbur too...but I think those names are too big for this little terror kittens!! lol.

WILCO...that doesn't fit kitties at all...I asked them to comply when i tried to stick them in the cardboard box...all i got was scratches and a bite on my finger for my trouble!

I like Bogey and Bandit...since my foster naming convention is to go alphabetically. My last set were all A's so this would fit with the B's. The problem is of course telling them apart once they're named!!

Thanks everyone...keep them coming. I might have to have a vote!!!

I came across these two names last night during a search for something else, and thought to myself that these would be cute names for a pair of kitty brothers.

"Ruff" and "Reddy". It's an old cartoon show from the 50's:

Of course, you could always go with the "word" spelling, "Rough" and "Ready". That's actually kind of cute too. Different.

I thought about that too - I like Bogey for Mr. 1 white hair and Bandit for Mr. 2 white hairs.

(My logic being that a Bogey is unidenitified - might be safe, but there is a question mark and a Bandit is an enemy aircraft - so 1 hair for caution, 2 for danger.)

Yeah, I think too much. I know.

LOL I like it. I think Bandit (regardless of hair) if that is linked to danger is going to have to go to the one that did the most damage to my hands while trying to escape from the cardboard box (the momma cat and 4-1 week old kittens that were found dumped in the same place ended up getting the 1 carrier i had with me!). That one definitely needs a warning label!!!!!!!

I'm voting for Bogey and Bandit as well: Once you decide who is who, put a red collar on one and a blue collar on the other--and then, if you have them for awhile, you'll be able to tell who's who based on personality.

I'm dyin for pictures over here!

One of them should be "Jet"...It sounds weird but I once had a black lab named Jet and it suited him so well.

And the other could be "Turbo".

Those names do describe them as well....

I'm definitely going to work at getting my camera up and running tonight. I have to post some pics of my foster momma and her 5 puffballs as well.
