My friends surprise party this weekend has an "Allison in Wonderland" theme,(her name is Allison) and I have no idea what to wear..We are supposed to wear costumes and silly hats.

Any ideas?? Come on, I know you guys are crafty...

How about the Queen of hearts, you'd need at least a crown and red stockings, you could make 2 cards out of cardboard or a similar material.... I can visualize it, but not very good at describing. Or maybe The Mad Hatter? You's need a top hat and a suitish type jacket

Get a couple of large pieces of posterboard (or similar) and go as one of the Queen of Hearts lackeys?

Or if you are in a particularly pompous mood, the Queen of Hearts herself and go around yelling - "Off with their heads!".

Sounds like a good time to pick up a copy of the famous book and read again! There are so many crazy characters.

You should be the Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar. Well, at least that's what I would be. You'd just need to be all in green, and then you could puffy-paint and glitterize purple stripes like a caterpillar, and then carry a pipe.

If you wanted you could even make the little legs, oh and the antennae you could buy those silly headbands at the dollar store with the antennae on them

I always like to pick the one nobody else will do. You know everyone's gonna do Alice and the rabbit and such.

Good Luck!

Ooooh, that seems really easy!! Perhaps I'll try that one..

There is already the mad hatter, alice, and queen of hearts, so I can't be those.

That's a great idea Brandi! Also it's a quick & easy costume to make. You can get black tights, and paint orang stipes on them, the paint should dry overnight... but I'd ask at a craft store which paint is good for fabric. If you can find a black body suit, you can do the same things, paint the orange stripes on the arms of your body suit. And if your concerned about showing too much in just a body suit, just wear a black skirt over top.... Now, for a tail, if you have the time to go to a craft store, you can get wire or something to make it bend.... or maybe even a piece of maribou....you can also spray paint the black maribou with orange stripes... That sounds like SO much fun! I wish I could go too!!! I LOVE costume parties!!!

Ooooh, what about the white rabbit??? You need bunny ears, a cotton tail, a white tank, with a blue blazer (you could probably find a used one at good will that'll be perfect).... then all you need is a pocket watch!

Who'll be "dee" and who'll be "dum"?

Why don't you get the book so you can perform the duet they do?

I proposed that I be "Dee" and she be "Dum"..Apparently, that will not work for her because she refuses to be "Dum"...so we have come to a decision that we will both be Tweedledee, and we figure it will be a conversation starter most of the night
