I am beginning to think that my cat will be PG forever! Her belly is so round and she is so small....I have been reading posts here the last few days and cannot believe all the things that can happen during labor/delivery!!
I am beginning to worry...because if it CAN go wrong, with the luck I have been having, it WILL go wrong.....!!!!!
Send me some kitty vibes--PLEASE!!!!

Glass of wine!!????
Heck, give me the whole bottle!
I have spent the last 2 nights sleeping on the couch because I heard all kinds of comotion in the middle of the night...it was my other animals playing! Cats and dogs running around like freaks with nothing else to do!
I suppose I am overly worried because it seems like she is getting SO big and she is a small, slight cat, and I am concerned that she may have a rough time.....
I was sure that she only had 1 or 2 in there, now it looks like a dozen!

See how small her head is compared to her body now!!

This was taken today.

ah, i COMPLETELY understand. Icis is a small cat too, and she was looking exactly like that, i thought she would burst!,lol. she might have a tad harder time, as Icis did have some difficulty pushing out the big babies, but she did it, just needed me to open the sac cause she was tired, lol.

wish i could hand ya over a bottle of wine, got one chillin now

sending healthy and safe labor vibes. I know what you are goin through. I went through it about 6 weeks ago when my baby girl was preggo and it felt like it was goin to go on forever. It took forever i thought but when it finally happened i was so excited and so was my baby. I just hope everything thing goes well for you and your baby when she does go into labor.....Best of luck to both of you!

Oh man, I have to get a picture of Missy....I'll work on it and post in a while. She is so swollen
post #9 of 41
ooo dear she looks so ready! Like shes had enough already....poor girl! its coming soon! is she overdue yet?
Ok so she WILL NOT lay on her side and show off her full belly but from these two pictures you can see how wide she is getting. Remember when I got her 6 1/2 weeks ago she was skin and bones!!!

....<That's what our cats are doing! They probably think we're nuts! I can see it in her face "here she comes with that d*mn camera again!!"

She just kind of lays on her side all the time now, she seems REALLY uncomfortable on her stomach so she just 'plops' down and is good to go!

It has got to be soon. We were at the vet on 7/6 and he said in about 3 weeks, and this is officially the 3 week mark!

Hangin' in there with you ladies who are waiting too!
Kitty has me waiting too. *sigh* i am about to go ballistic here! i'm sending good delivery vibes to all of you who are waiting

My cat looks absolutely miserable!

And to make matters worse it is just over 100 degrees and there is a big thunderstorm heading in, supposed to be here within the hour. All the animals hate the thunder.....
acutally Icis went into labor the night a HUGE thunderstorm went though, lol. Maybe the energy of the storm will help your baby go into labor too

I hope so. Since we don't know the date she got PG, it is simply a guess from the vet but she is an uncomfortable little girl!
Even my husband--who never pays attention to ANYthing--stated that she looked exhausted.
If she doesn't have them by the end of this weekend I may try to come up with the funds to take her in for another look from the vet. I simply cannot afford an x-ray right now to see what is going on in there....
She sleeps all the time and even when she IS awake, most of that time her eyes are half closed as if she could just lay down and go right back to sleep....

haha that's how Kitty looks most of the time. poor babies. gosh i hope it is soon...

good grief.....how long can they hold out She wants out of the bathroom sooo bad!!! Last night I went in and loved on her befroe bed, but she still was clawing at the door after the lights went out. I know that the minute I let her out she would camp out under my bed and deliver, so theres no way I'm letting her out!!! (((((Labor Vibes))))))) to all our girls!!!!!

at the moment missy has access to most of the house but prefers my room which is ok until she starts crying to get out of the door ( we have french doors that lead on to a balcony) its the constant scratching that keeps us awake for the last week ive been up at around 4 am as i couldnt take any more as soon as i get up she is fine lol :-)

Well, I have felt the kittens move for about 1 1/2 weeks now. I didn't pick her up much before that, or hold her for long because she wanted to be left alone, so they may have been moving before I felt them...she is actually looking around the house this morning, totally ignoring the fact that we have a box all set up for her!
Since she is up and looking maybe it will be sometime soon.......then again, maybe not....LOL!
i have made 2 boxes after reading so many words of advice i thought id give her the choice.we have a big box that is closed on top and has the side cut out, we have an open box with the side cut shorter and we have the bottom of a double closet all have bedding, food, water and litter trays and are in different areas of the house but she is just not intrested she likes the hard cold tiles at the moment but then it has been really hot. we dont have a/c and she can get out of the windows etc so everything is closed up

I'm waiting too...But more along the lines of waiting for time to pass, or a good wait. I know when she is due and don't want any action until that date comes! Oooh last time was way to scary. At the same time I can't wait for next week to come!

It is hot here too though we have a swamp cooler...it is not working that great because of humidity. She lays on the tiles in the hall alot too, but has pretty much been on an old plastic chair or just stretched out in the middle of the floor.
When I really watched her this morning, there is quite alot going on in there! The kitties seem pretty active! Her belly was moving every which way!
She was grooming herself and actually couldn't reach far enough to lick her bottom. Her belly got in the way.

SolarityBengals, what is it like to breed bengals? i want to breed sphynxes when i get older. Bangels were my favorite though. when is your queens due date? how is she doing?
have any of your mommas delivered yet ? or any signs ? missy has finely taken to her bed although it doesnt look very comfy anymore but she has it the way she likes it :-) which is the most important thing. after doing some more reading last night i decided to confine her to a room at night as she was hiding behind the tv in the lounge. should i put her in her room during the day ? any ideas im frightened im going to confuse her
post #29 of 41
Well, if she is anything like Kitty, then there is no confining her i dont confine Kitty in one room but i close doors to rooms that i dont want her to give birth in. during her last pregnancy i used to put her in a cage in my room at night and she would throw a fit, like if i walked near the cage to turn off my alarm, she would stick her arm out and claw the out of me if she could reach me....

so if she will let you confine her, then i say do it but if she wont then just close off all acsess to rooms you dont want her in.

Unfortunately it hasn't gone so well for me. I adore bengals but breeding was a whole other issue. I might get back into it when I retire but... There are many aspects of breeding it turns out I don't like. I won't get into it on here. I need to find some other way to contribute to the bengal breed without breeding though. Not to mention the heartbreak... I lost a whole litter last time, all were born alive and to watch each one die was horrible. It was 8 days to early (day 55). So far we are on day 58 and doing very well. She is due on Wednesday.
