I heard one of the cats playing with toys in the middle of the night. When I woke up, I found that the "kitty tent" (one of those mesh collapsable laundry baskets - to humans) had been moved from the south side of the bedroom to the middle of the room. ALL of the toys had been removed and Oliver was sleeping in it.

"but....I was soooo bored I could have died!" Oliver says. We gave our mesh laudnry hampers to the cats & bought plastic ones. They now sleep in both sets.

Maybe you could hire Oliver out as an interior decorator?

You didn't know you had adopted a decorator, did you??

Yea, Zissou does that too, although not to that extent. If she doesn't like where something is, she moves it. And there is a pile of dirty socks in the living room, unless you hide all your socks in a drawer (which I don't do).

I can just imagine your confusion first waking up, like Wha???? Did the room move??

All that rearranging just left him so tired he had to sleep in the nearest possible place!

I never got to use the collapsible one. As soon as I took it out of the package, both cats decided it was a tent.

I knew we were watching too many of those do-it-yourself shows.

True - there were a lot of toys in there!

Why should I be suprised? My hubby sometimes sets up his tent in the backyard.

Someone gave me a "cat cube" that is very similar, but has more entrances. They don't use it.

Oliver, did you want to show your Mum and Dad your creative talents?

It makes you wonder if we thought as creatively as a cat, we'd be able to save money on all the expensive pet beds and things?
Then again, they'd always find something else, wouldn't they?
