Looking for suggestions on names for these two.

They have some of the softest coats I have ever felt. Maybe it is because they are older than what I have had in the past and healthier, but they are extremely soft and smooth.

I am working on socializing them. They aren't feral but they aren't really loving cats either. The black and white does tend to approach to be pet, but only when I first enter the room. The calico, I assume since the amount of white on her belly, doesn't really approach but has no problem with being pet. It makes me miss my last foster somewhat who only wanted to be held.

Are they siblings?

What about:

Luke and Leia (Star Wars)

Adam and Adora (He-Man and She-ra)

Eomer and Eowyn (Lord of the Rings)

If they aren't siblings, what about:

Cosette and Marius or Eponine and Marius - Eponine is probably more suitable for a calico! (The Mis)

Arwen and Aragorn (Lord of the Rings)

Luthien and Beren (Lord of the Rings - well, the Sil)

The characters Luke, Leia, Adora, Eomer and Eowyn, Cosette and Aragorn were all fosters, too

Well darn. Obviously, your calico is - I have a black and white male and it's really hard to remember not every black and white is male. I shall start thinking again.

I like panda but still not sure what to call the calico. The other thing if anyone has any suggestions is they aren't real lovable. They come to me a little when I enter the room, but they are more interested in running around and playing. I know this is usual kitten behavior but my biggest fear is that since they are so independant they will be tougher to adopt. They just don't crave the attention at all. They are locked in my bedroom most of the day yet when I go in there they aren't really excited to see me either which is rare for me. Any suggestions?

I really like that idea. Panda is suitable for a black and white, clearly, but Pandora is perfect for a tortie with her torittude!

Give them time, and remember that some cats are just more independent than others - and plenty of people love cats for their indepenence. Just hang out with them reading to them.

Also, they are at an age where they have only one thing on their minds (PLAY!)
