A friend of mine at work decided to adopt a 10 day old kitten. It's mother was shot by some horrible person that should be reported to the authorities ( I don't know his name or I would do so myself). The kittens really need our thoughts and prayers if they are going to make it! I've directed my friend to www.kitten-rescue.com and to TCS for support, so if there is an urgent call I know we will all answer.

The good part of this story is the kitten is in the best home possible. My friend is a wonderful cat lover, and is going to do her best to make sure this kitten is raised correctly.

Edit: The little baby has seen a vet twice today.

He's eating, mewoing, and sleeping. Both vets say that he appears to be healthy. Good news so far. It's a moment by moment process right now. I think the vibes are helping.

New update: He's peeing and pooing on a regular basis. They are trying to come up with some names. Any ideas?

He's very sweet, from what she says he meeps a lot and is a bit wobbly with his walk. I can't wait to post some more updates.

Not yet, I haven't been able to go see the little one. In fact I'm going to wait a while. I don't want to bring in any foreign bugs to make the little guy's life any more difficult than it already is. I will most likely wait until it's at least 6 weeks.

My friend just called to say she is taking on two of the little babies. The new one had a time of it tough, she had bloody diarrhea! Due to them not being able to tell their real age, the vet suggested yogurt before dewormer. Both little ones are going back to the Vet tomorrow for another check up. I'll keep you posted on how they are doing.

I realised why in my sleep last night.

Eomer and Eowyn lost their mom young too.

The last few days have been good for the babies. They are crying a lot, and eating a ton. Monday they are going to the vet to get another check up. So far so good.
