I've started munching on a small amount of nuts everyday and eating an apple to help with my cholestoral, and it seems that one or both give me heartburn. Have you guys ever heard this? What gives you heartburn?

you are meant to eat apples with cheese as they neutralise the acid.. but i dont think cheese will help you will it?!

apples, oranges and OJ, grapes, red pasta sauce all give me heatburn

so I just eat a Pepsid AC tablet before eating them.

Do not know how heathly that is but I would never eat fruit otherwise...They all give me heartburn!!!

I eat TUMS fruit when I have heartburn.

Seriously, I generally get heartburn from acidic foods, like oranges and tomatoes, or from spicy Mexican dishes.

ALL fruits are good for you, so you don't need to limit yourself to an apple. Try some grapes!

red pasta sauce does it for me! love it anyway though, hot tea gets rid of my heartburn, only thing that touches it

Dr. Pepper seems to give me heartburn before it even hits my stomach. Too bad I love it so much!

OJ does it to me.

What about putting peanut butter on apple slices? It's yummy I promise!

Really greasy fried food gives me reflux. If you don't know what that is, you are very lucky! Heartburn.. hmm anything with hot sauce on it, spicy mexican food.. I would try munching on carrots if I were you.

You could try apricots Susie, they don't seem to be as acidic.

Latley I've been getting heartburn from oranges or orange juice and margaritas no fair!

Too many nuts give me heartburn. I take Zyantac for heartburn and acid reflex. I does wonders for me. Good luck. Another thing for lowering cholestrol is oatmeal and Cherroo's. Good luck lowering it, I have been trying too.
