Rescue cat fang was diagnosed with cystitis today . High protein but no blood in the urine. something else was high but I forget. Anyway, doc suggested the UTI food, but Fang has soft poop which is being controlled with sensitive stomach food. Is there a UTI food for sensitive stomachs? Vet suggested getting cranberry flakes from health food store and mixing it with the wet food. Not sure he will eat it (from a cat that was rescued in the winter dragging a chicken bone down the street!) . A friend at work gives his cat cranberry treats which his cat likes and apparently is helping, as bouts of cystitis have ceased. Fang got a shot of amoxicylian and we have pills to take. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Want to avoid mush poop, but want to avoid the cystitis too. Any advice?
