I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but here it is. Last night while I was asleep, Cleo was laying by my legs and grooming herself. I was woken up by dampness in the sheets, and as it turs out she soaked a pancake sized puddle through the bedspread, sheets, clear through to the mattress. This has never happened before in the three years I've had her. Her behavior is otherwise normal. I'm not sure what to make of this. Any thoughts?

I would advise a vet trip
the excessive drooling could be a sign of tooth decay, infection etc.... does her breath smell bad?

I haven't noticed a change in the smell of her breath. We'll be going to the vet this afternoon, but I find I'm having trouble waiting that long.

We just got home from the vet. He thoroughly checked the inside of her mouth and took her temperature. He said everything seems fine, but to keep an eye on her for the next few days. He said it's likely that she ate a bug and that's what caused the drooling. She's not drooling now, so hopefully that's the end of it. Of course, now Cleo has a vet smell on her that Alex is not cool with so he's hissing up a storm (even though Alex came with us to the vet too. He's a silly.)
