Hoping someone can help... My mother's cats have each had a litter of kittens, they're about 8 wks old now. Two out of the three kittens in one litter have developed bald patches on their faces and legs. The mother has a shiny coat and seems healthy. I don't know what's causing it and haven't been able to observe to see if it's due to excessive licking or scratching. Any advice on how to treat them? Please don't tell me to take them to the vet, they are not mine and I can't afford it. However, I would like to do something that will aid in their healing so I can place them in good homes. Thanks.

Thank you for your response, Vikki. My mom's been promising for weeks that she will have the cats spayed...I hope she follows through with it. I had really hoped that the bald patches were just irritations from fleas but I can't find any evidence. Unfortunately, what I have found since I left this post is a ringworm-like lesion on my daughter. It is too bad I let the kittens from that litter in our part of the house as I have my own cat... Thanks again, I appreciated the links, also.
