Fire Ants....

Anyone who lives in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Louisiana know these nasty little things and the pain they cause. I just got bit by two of them in the yard talking to a neighbor. My right foot has 2 spots the size of golf balls now.
I guess I'm allergic to them.
Last year I was living about 80 miles from here and they got me GOOD!
I was outside washing the car and didn't see the little boogers crawling on me until they chomped down.
I was bit about 5 times on the SAME foot and ended up not even being able to walk and had to go to the ER.
I am hoping the same thing doesn't happen again. I'm the only one in the house who can drive and our truck is a 5-speed so I need BOTH feet
I took a Zyrtec and an antibiotic that was given to my husband when he was bit by a spider last month. Hopefully that will do it.... Tell me again why I live in Florida with fire ants and hurricanes?

2 of the three reasons I decided not to move to Florida.
Brandon's parents were going to actually buy a house for us to move down there. Saint Pete in fact. But I just couldnt. It was a VERY hard thing to turn down.
I feel bad for you though..those little bugs are terrible. I'm glad we've got harmless little black ants up here that only want your soda and picnic food.

Yeah we have sugar ants also that want your food. But these fire ants are nasty litttle boogers!

I am actually a mile away from St Pete!
