I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sad that you can't watch Chyanne grow up. When I lose a little foster kitten, I find a bit of solace in knowing that rather than sending this kitten on to another forever home, they live forever in my heart. In a way, they become forever mine. Someday when we are reunited over the bridge, those tiny precious ones will be waiting. It doesn't take away the pain of loss, but it helps soften it, a little.

Rest in peace, little one. I'm glad your last hours were of comfort, a full belly, and love.

I am so sorry for your sad loss.

Rest in peace and perfect health at the bridge, Chyanne, and look down on the humans who loved you in life, and your siblings who need your prayers little angel.

Also, do let them have the formula, Pedialyte alone isn't enough to keep these little ones going.
I'm sorry, I guess I didn't write it the way I meant to.I am doing the formula AND the pedialyte.Every 3-4 hours for the formula and every 1 1/2-2 hours for the Pedialyte.
I have the bathroom vent closed as we have central air.

'll be praying for the other little torti girl...how is she doing at this time? See any signs of improvement?
Yes, so far she is holding her own.She actually bit(nipped me looking for a nipple) me a few mintues ago wanting to be fed.So, of course she got fed.

I rinsed my tub out really good.I used about 2 caps fulls of Clorox to 2 gallons of water.I rinsed until I couldn't smell the bleach and then rinsed it once more for good measures.
I called our Vet and he said that it sounded like either Fading Kitten Syndrom or worms.I gave them the Strongid from the Vet this am and saw some what appeared to be SMALL spag. noodles.About a half inch long. So, I am praying that is was ONLY worms and we caught it in time.
Chyanne was fine one minute and then she started refusing her food, walking kind of funny almost like she was drunk. She was wobbly, and her eyes took on like a cloudy appearance.
My other little Tortie started acting kind of weird.....almost like she didn't know where she was. But, after MANY tears and prayers....she appears to be better.
I will keep you all updated about them.PLEASE keep them in your prayers.I have to worm them again in 2 weeks(2 week intervals) and then our Vet said their shots when they are 8 weeks old and spay/neuter at 12 weeks old. They will not do it beofre then.

Spag noodle like in the poo is roundworm so the strongid is a good thing. Kirra had roundworm when we got her and we wound up having to force feed her with a syringe watered down food (she was 7 weeks) and pedialyte. Best way to do the pedialyte is untill they wont take anymore. I was feeding kirra about every 30mins to an hour with pedialyte because she was severly dehydrated (the worms take a toal on the system) . Have you done the pinch test? If so how is her hydration? Its a hard road and I am soo sorry for the loss of the other one, but at least she had a good home and someone who cared for her in her last hours.

I will keep your lil torti in my mind and heart tonight, especially when i look at kirra, she looks like she could be kirra's twin.

O.k. I just did the pinch test to see how long it takes the skin to go back down after you pinch it and raise it some........I am HAPPY to say, it went right back down!!!
Didn't stay up for more than a second. So, that if I understand, means they are NOT dehydrated?

My little Torti girl is acting somewhat better. She has spunk and I hope and pray it is enough to get her and the others through this.(the one that passed away and her are the smallest ones)
She is still seperated from her litter mates and will stay that way until I know she is out of danger. She has a rice sock with her and a teddy bear to cuddle with....so she doesn't feel alone.
More updates to come. And more pics!!!

At least Chyane died in your arms, snuggled up and with lots of love, instead of in the dirt alone outside. Sometimes as rescuers that is what we do for them, help them die in peace and with as little pain as possible. Her short little life was happy once you found them, a lot happier than it would have been if you hadn't. sometimes I am amazed at the resilience of little kittens, after what they have been through, so often they rally and pull thru. You are doing such a great job.

So glad to hear you have another day under your belt with the little one...I'm praying for her to pull through. It truly may have been the worms that sent little Chyanne over the Bridge...as someone else mentioned, they take a toll on such a tiny and delicate system. Fortunately, the wormer does begin to work right away, so hopefully the other little baby will pull through. Or, it could have been Fading Kitten Syndrome...it's hard to know, really.

Glad to hear she's not dehydrated. Bless her little heart with her rice sock and teddy bear! You're doing wonderfully. Keep up the good work...we'll keep up with the praying.

They are looking so much better already! They don't look so extremely thin any more and have a spark in their eyes. Don't tell the others, but my favourite is Kasha. ;-)

They are all so completely perfect!!! What a bunch of cuties. I have to say I'm a bit fond of Kasha myself...she's looking really good today! Her eyes are nice and bright.

You'll be shocked to see how big they'll get in just a couple of weeks...we're all excited to watch them grow!
