Realllllllllllly Gross!!!

As I was sitting at the computer my cat likes to block the screen. As I moved him along (I lifted him under his front legs and hind legs) and scooted him over there was this horrible smelling black liquidy stuff that squirted out from him onto my computer screen!!! Not a lot but OMG!! did it ever smell! Does anyone know what that could be? Is that from his anal glands? It was discusting! lol

Probably anal sacs!!

I've never heard of this, and I'm kind of hoping someone comes along with an explaination, but I would definately call my vet in the morning and check whether I should come in.

Does he ever 'scoot' his butt along the ground, or anything like that?

I had this happen with my cat. It was her anal glands. Took her to the vet and he "expressed" them. Nasty smelling stuff. Here is a link that tells about them.

It's the anal glands! You need to have the vet express them. It is gross but the vet can show you how to do it in case it ever needs to be done again.

My vet just showed me ...lol.. I will make a trip to the vet not a job for me...
