It's been a year since we got married, and unfortunately my husband is in Australia for work!! These flowers arrived today though - I love lilies and I love pink things, so I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous bunch of flowers!! Oh and the vase was also included - it's a big, heavy vase and quite elegant.

I still have to figure out what to get him. He's so hard to buy for. I'm easy - I go all mushy over flowers

Wow, those are beautiful. I love the smell of lilies. I know how it is - not being able to get stuff for my hubby either!

My hubby likes the "traditional" kinds of gifts like paper for year 1, cotton for year 2, etc. We just reached 15, and instead of "crystal" I got "diamond". Darn!

So maybe you could write something nice you could do or get for him on a piece of PAPER?

You will keep an eye on Stumpy though with those lilys, make sure she doesn't eat them.
Funny you mention that.... I posted about how she's been quite naughty lately... She tried to eat the leaves in the foliage, and play with the longer dangly bits (her and her dangly things...) so I had to move a tall speaker out a bit, and put the flowers on that so she couldn't ge to them!

Are lilies bad for cats?

I love lilys! I'll have to make sure she stays well away from them. I think they're in a spot where she wouldn't be bothered trying to get to, and she was more interested in the leaves, but I don't know what sort of leaves they are and whether they're toxic to cats!

I bought a catnip plant the other day which is outside growing. I'll bring that in for her, and make sure she has plenty of food!

I'm really sorry Sarah,I didn't mean to spoil your day

Here is the link to the poison plants for cats

http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer...cc_toxicplants

but NOT ALL of the poisonous plants are listed, just the one's that have been found to be poisonous, but I wouldn't take any chances

There's definitely no peace lilys. I just did a Google images search, and I know what they are now, and there isn't any - just some closed regular lilys that look like a peace lily in the pic.

And for the record... I put the flowers in the bathroom and closed the door overnight.... heh. Didn't want to risk it!
