Does he help place those sensors in the paths of those tornados?

I watched one of the programs about storm chasers and I started to feel sorry for their vans! Hit by hailstones, splattered with mud and all. Poor vans...

Whoa... on that last picture are there two of them?? Those are really cool pics. You are a brave brave woman to have a husband that is a storm chaser. My boyfriend is going to be a cop, and that scares the crap out of me.

Oh he is not a tornado he is a Harricane!!!lol. when i took thoes pictures
man where they hard to take. you would have wind blowing in your face
and other stuff. One time when I was in front of a tornado taking pictures
of it then it made a turn and it was heading my way, my team jumped in the
van and had to speed off quick!! if you have questions you can ask me.

Where are you from? That last pic in the first post, looks a little like the beginnings of one of the big wedges that tore through my city in 1999.

I heard that a tornado is unpredictable. When it starts coming your way, are you ever scared it might catch you? Do you basically have to haul butt until it turns to another path?? Have you ever seen multiple ones?
you said I could ask questions. I think tornados are my biggest fear when it comes to natural disasters.

yeah it is risk you must take if you are a tornado chaser.
if it stays on the same track of us we have to go to a differnet way.
(dont try this thoe.)
We sometimes see multiple twisters.one time we saw a huge one that broke
down into two.
Tornados are natural disasters.

Those are amazing photos!

Kansas seems the natural choice for your job!

My question is, how often do people quote lines from The Wizard of Oz to you?

I love those pictures. Tornados are awesome, but yes can be very deadly. I am a storm chaser myself, but have yet to see a tornado. I have spotted the wall cloud, but no tornado. I have been to sites that were devastated by f-5 tornados in the past. I am a trained spotter for the national weather service. Thanks for the great pictures
