My kitties are 5 days old now and have been putting on weight. I have been tube feeding them about every 4-5 hours and they are still nursing on mom (they were not gaining weight on her alone, so I started supplementing). My question is that now it has been 4 hours and their bellies are still really full, not tight and distended but full, so should I feed them more? I am tube feeding so they cannot tell me when they are full. Are little kitties tummys always supposed to be nice and round? Before they were not as full but mom has an infection, so I have really been doing the feeding faithfully and not sure how they should actually look. Thanks for the help.

At 5 days, and since they have a Momma, I would try changing from tube feeding to bottle or syringe feeding. Then you may be able to quit supplementing once you are sure they are full after nursing from Momma.

This is just my opinion...hopefully someone with more experience will be along soon!
