Sorry to tell you, but 9 Lives is a VERY poor quality food. It's full of by-products, fillers, corn, unidentified meats, chemicals, artifical ingredients, etc. It's basicly the McDonald's of cat foods. But don't worry, PetFoodDirect carries MANY high quality foods!
It's my favorite site to order from.
So, here is a list of high quality foods PFD sells:

-Artemis
-California Natural
-Chicken Soup For The Cat Lover's Soul
-Felidae
-Go! Natural
-Innova
-Natural Balance
-Nature's Logic
-Nature's Variety Prairie
-Pinnacle
-Solid Gold
-TimberWolf Organics
-Wellness

Hope this helps!

I shamefully admit that I do buy some 9 Lives to give to the outside guys when I start running low on wet food and money.

My inside guys at least rurn their noses up at that although we are a Friskies family.

However... they all like the 9 Lives Tuna foods better than the Friskies. Dunno why... they just do.

Friskies isn't that good either. If you feed a better quality food, they'll actually eat less so the cost works out about the same in the long term.

I tried about 6 different brands (looked for all brands with no by-products) until I was successful with Merrick. They only like Granny's Pot Pie and Thanksgiving Dinner but they are good foods. Our kitties don't like anything with fish or seafood in them.
