They're both good sources of protein, that's why vegetarians are supposed to eat them, or you could go with tofu

Thank you. *takes a bow* Glad you are laughing instead of being tempted to throw tomatoes.

Yes, nuts are in the legume family along with beans and are a high source of protein which is important when cutting meats out of your diet.

If you are going vegetarian or vegan, I would talk to your physician about getting the right information you need to make this change but keep yourself healthy.

I know quite a few vegans and vegetarians, and they all love munching on nuts!

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I am definately a nut muncher

no seriously, I love pistacio's (not the red ones), almonds, cashews, macadamia nuts.... and I really love those big black ones you get at x-mas time in the grocery store when they have the loose nut assortment... I don't know what their called.... maybe brazil nuts??? They are too hard for me to crack myself so I have to have hubby crack them for me!

But I would like to add that I do not in any way shape or form want nuts included in my desert.... why would anyone want to ruin a chocolate sundae with nuts????

Dang, that just reminded me of an ice cream I can't seem to find here anymore. It was called Bear Claw - chocolate ice cream, marshmallow cream, and chocolate covered cashews.

I like the taste of coconut, but not the texture. So, Pina Colado, good, German chocolate cake, bad.

My Nana dislikes nuts on her dessert too. I think it makes it yummier.

I don't mind coconut it's mint and chocolate I can't stand - who wants toothpaste flavoured chocolate?
