Hello all,

I have not posted any pictures for a while. It has been really busy around here.

Introduction: This is Rupert, Stewie's new brother. He is a bengal and very active. These are recent pictures. I will post pictures when I got him. Enjoy.

Which one is your favorite picture?

RED

WHITE

and BLUE

For those of you who never met Stewie, here he is again (will post new pics soon)

Your camera must have an arpeture priority feature. The short depth of field makes for a very dramatic effect. You are obviously a skilled photographer. Great job!

Can you give me photography lessons?

I don't know which is prettier... the pics or the cats. What kind of camera do you have?

Thank you all for your kind comments

Renovia: I do not have any special lighting equipment. I use natural sun light as my source. Thus, most of my pics are taken near a window or a glass door. After the pics are taken, I adjust them in photoshop. 4 megapixel is very capable, with some practice and a little knowledge of photoshop, anyone can do it or do it even better. If you are looking for aperture priority on your camera, look for "Av" on your dial or menu. If you have it, change it to a lower number or lowest number. This will allow you to take pictures in a dim light situation without using the flash (more natural look) and creates shallow depth of field (DOF) as seen in picture WHITE. Or another way around it would be in photoshop. You can blur the body and just let the head stand out.

jdpesz, Godiva: I have a Canon 20D and 50mm lens used in the pics posted above. It is very capable and a sturdy camera. I am just a amateur. It is 90% camera, 7% photoshop and 3% me.

Thank you all again. I wil pass on the comments to Rupert.

I found the aperture priority on my camera and tried some shots today. . .We had a fairly cloudy day so the light isn't as bright as your photos but i think i have a grasp. What kinds of things do you alter in photoshop. I'm pretty proficient at that. And do you seriously have a red wall with no pictures on it???

Renovia:

Yes, I DO have a bright red room with white ceiling with no pictures on it, just like the picture. It was going to be a game room, but it ended up to be a storage room.

The pictures look great. I like number 2.

What I adjusted in PS was exposure, contrast, saturation and sharpening. That was about it. Any questions, let me know.

Saw your photo gallery, they are great. The header picture is my favorite. How old is your cat? How is Russian Blue like (personality..etc)?

They are beautiful pics - and it is more than 3% you - you have a lot of choices to make a long the way, and the beauty of the final result reflects your excellent and discriminating taste.

Hey, I've been waiting to see Rupert.
You do know that since you have posted his picture you are now obligated to post frequent pictures of him for his fans.
How is Stewie handling his new brother?

Love the pictures and the 20D is a great camera. I've been looking for a more serious permanent camera to buy this fall and the 20D or 30D looks perfect for my needs.
