She was due the 1st week of aug now i know my males tried but she did escape into the garden for an hr and there was a feral tom hanging around when i found her.Is it possible for her just to abort the stillborns, shes still in the box but no further action, shes not in pain or stressed but i think it may be a trip to the vets in an hr or so

she might have mated with more then one male from the sounds of it. she could have had two litters, and with the older ones near birth, the younger, less devoloped ones could have been pushed out first, someone can correct me if i am wrong here.

A trip to the vet may not be a bad idea. did you call them?

yes i called the vets about 30 mins ago, they said just sit back and wait if the cat wasnt stressed out,but to get in touch if she starts stressing, shes just lying quite happily in her box, maybe a few deep sighs now and again but thats all,i think im more anxious than her,its awful

sometimes they will rest up to 4 hours between kits. if in a few hours she is still acting fine and back to her old self, then i would say she will carry the rest to term, but if not, get her in asap. Good Luck!!!

Welcome Biteable....I am truly sorry about the stillborn kittens. I am curious however....are you trying to purposefully breed your girl or was this simply an accidental mating?? The reason I ask is that if you plan to breed her again (and if so, I would suggest you post a welcome in the breeders forum) I would have her health checked and I would also determine a way to keep her from escaping. It is very risky to her health to mate with an intact stray male who you do not know the history of. If you feel you would not be able to prevent her from escaping again..it would be best to have her spayed.

Hi everyone, well to be honest i was hoping she would get caught thus her not being spade, and only the once in the 18mths ive had her has she ever got out,i wouldnt class myself as a breeder i think it was just a case of see what happens.Well eventualy at 5.30 last night she gave birth to her final kitten who was also stillborn.Mum is handling it great, she must of knew something was wrong as she hasnt pined or cried or looked for the kittens(who are buried in my garden inncidently).Mum became very distant from me while pregnant but last night was back to her normal self cuddled up on my lap for a stroke, which made me realise no matter how sad the situation was at least nothing had happened to the mum.Its now 24hrs after the start of her ordeal y/day and shes still looking abit plump is this normal.Shes had regular health checks before when goin for her innoculations but i think i will see if theres anything the vet can see wrong with her, thank you for all your help and best wishes

Biteable...given that the whole litter died and that you aren't trying to be a breeder...I would highly suggest you get your girl spayed now. It is truly in her best interest. I am truly sorry for the loss of all the kittens.

If you are interested in experiencing pregnancy and birth..I'm sure there are shelters in your area that would love to have you foster a pregnant cat for them.
