can't find the "quick" on her nail

I have trimmed Starlight's nails, but only the very end tips because I couldn't find the "quick" that I learned about from you all. I don't see a red or pink area. There is a whiter area closer to her paw. Is that it? It seems to be kind of inside the nail. I don't want to hurt her, but I think I need to cut them shorter. At the same time, I worry that if I don't see the red/pink area, it could mean something's wrong.

Above are three links that I found onilne with three different illustrations of where to cut a cat's nail. Only one refers to the upper area as the "quick". They also seem to have a few trimming hints and suggestions . Hope this helps!
